    FIRE INSPECTIONS IN THE VILLAGE OF STAMFORD, NEW YORK

    Minimum Standards for Administration and Enforcement
    Part 444.3 – Program Features
    Part 444.3(d)(3) Fire safety inspections of areas of public assembly (as defined in Part 606 of Title 9 of the Official Compilations of Codes,and Regulations)must be performed at least once a year;
    Part 444.3(d)(4)Fire safety inspections of all multiple dwellings and all non-residential occupancies must be performed at intervals consistent with local laws and conditions.

    SCHEDULE OF FIRE INSPECTION FEES

    CATEGORY FREQUENCY COST PER INSPECTION
    Places of Assembly Once per year $30.00
    1 & 2-family rental Once every 1-3 years, depending upon conditions and violations found. $20.00
    3 or more families rental property Once every 1-3 years, depending upon conditions and violations found. $25.00
    All structures of commercial, industrial, business, storage, or mercantile use, under 40,000 square feet total footage Every 6 months $30.00
    All structures of commercial, industrial, business, storage, or mercantile use, over 40,000 square feet total footage Every 6 months $75.00

    An additional inspection of an existing structure, previously inspected within the designated time period, will be done ONLY upon receipt of a bona fide complaint. The cost of this inspection will be directed to the owner(s) of the building, at a rate of $10.00 per visit, until such time as the complaint is resolved. If compliance is not achieved in the alloted time given, the original Fire Inspection Approval Certificate will be revoked.
